By reproducing the sun's natural UV radiation, UVGERMI is considered a Cleantech. Our technology drives business forward, without impacting the environment. One of our values is also to be as close as possible to our subcontractors.
In our workshops in Saint-Viance in Corrèze, we manufacture each UV treatment units with materials made in France. As such, UVGERMI is a fierce defender of the “Made in France” and is one of the companies involved in the French Fab.
It all starts in the UVGERMI design office with three industrial designers in charge of drawings. They design and model with great precision the parts required to manufacture the UV treatment units. Production drawings, technical manuals, electrical and hydraulic diagrams are all required for the manufacture of UV units.
Innovation continues at all levels. During a research project, the drawings prepared by our draftsmen are used to manufacture prototypes. To do so, they refer to the information provided by the Research and Innovation Centre.
For the range of standard units, the design office regularly amends existing drawings to make new improvements to the products.
Each workshop then receives its drawings before manufacturing and assembling the different parts. The manufacturing drawings for the 316 L stainless steel reactors are sent to our local subcontracted boilermakers. Electrical diagrams and hydraulic and mechanical drawings are sent directly to our collaborators in our workshops.
Depending on the power of the UV units, the size and shape of the electrical cabinets will vary. Installing the cabling in electrical boxes or cabinets is done by hand and individually for each unit. While our hydraulic quality manager checks the dimensions of the reactors and the tightness of the hydraulic circuit, the fitters install the UV lamps inside the quartz sleeves then into the reactors. Connecting the units to their electrical cabinet is the final stage. They are then tested by our quality controller before being packed by our people in the warehouse.
At UVGERMI, we have chosen the guarantee of sending you the equipment as soon as possible. For this reason, we stock, in our warehouses in Saint-Viance, a large number of parts that make up our units: reactors, UV lamps, quartz sleeve, cabinets, electrical components, etc. This gives us great flexibility when preparing your orders. Once assembled and tested, your units are packaged and shipped in crates tailor-made with wood from Corrèze. The machines are delivered to your warehouses or directly to your customers.
From the UV machine to the shipping wooden crate, we use, wherever possible, local know-how based in Corrèze near us. We also rely on the recognised know-how of our French lamp maker to produce our UV lamps according to the manufacturing patents required by our technology.
